I use my G1 on Telstra with 3G.
On Monday I will also use my Nexus one on Telstra with 3G Just not at NextG speeds Telstra have 2 networks the 2100 and 850 bands 850 is their NextG network 2100 is their traditional 3G network NextG is preferred as it has substantially higher data rates http://www.telstra.com.au/mobile/net...k_info/3g.html

It will be slightly more expensive - about the same price as a Hero now. Release date is rumoured to be late March but I would say April/May before it is here. I'd also think that the HTC Legend will be a pretty good looking phone too, a refinement of the Magic/Hero. Certainly won't be as quick as a Bravo but I think the case is gorgeous (even if it is a render). The Sony/Motorola phones do nothing for me.

Has a google/htc exec actually thrown out the term Nexus Two, or are the newspapers simply recycling the news regarding the the 'enterprise' nexus phone a few days ago? And whereabouts did you hear that the specs aren't as great as the nexus one (if not in writing?) |

Heard it from a friend who is rarely wrong, i added 'yet to see in writing' just so people don't instantly believe that this is true.

the sun came out today! and yeah, its a bit hard to see. the most annoying part was that with the backlight set to auto it takes a few seconds to react to the sunlight (coming out of the car for example)
I dont think its any worse than trying to use my netbook out in the sun, and if you use a high contrast theme it should be fairly useable. YMMV of course (remember its winter sun here, and there is no ozone hole even if it was summer )

Can't find this being posted, but here's another review by ars technica.
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/revie...one-review.ars Nice to see some actual numbers and a little less bias .
