On Monday I will also use my Nexus one on Telstra with 3G

Telstra have 2 networks the 2100 and 850 bands

850 is their NextG network
2100 is their traditional 3G network

NextG is preferred as it has substantially higher data rates

It will not work on Telstra NextG network, it will work with 3/Vodafone/Optus. As far as I know there is a new deal out with 3 that it will roam with Vodafone and not Telstra - might be worth looking into.

And would it be worth waiting a month or two to see if a re-call or error's with the handset's (If any?) get made/replaced?
Wait until they release it for Australia. The new HTC phone and Sony phone (Hero? and X10?) will prob be out then, and HTC Sense is pretty fucking sweet (loving it on my X1)

I think the HTC Bravo will be a much better phone, basically the same internals as the GN1 but in a sleeker case, plus Sense UI. It will be Android 2.1 also. I think it will also have the same 3.7" AMOLED display which I think will be the new standard for phones.

It will be slightly more expensive - about the same price as a Hero now. Release date is rumoured to be late March but I would say April/May before it is here.

I'd also think that the HTC Legend will be a pretty good looking phone too, a refinement of the Magic/Hero. Certainly won't be as quick as a Bravo but I think the case is gorgeous (even if it is a render).

The Sony/Motorola phones do nothing for me.

I had a quick peruse of the nexus two search items but none of them seem to be official.

Has a google/htc exec actually thrown out the term Nexus Two, or are the newspapers simply recycling the news regarding the the 'enterprise' nexus phone a few days ago?

And whereabouts did you hear that the specs aren't as great as the nexus one (if not in writing?)

Heard it from a friend who is rarely wrong, i added 'yet to see in writing' just so people don't instantly believe that this is true.

the sun came out today! and yeah, its a bit hard to see. the most annoying part was that with the backlight set to auto it takes a few seconds to react to the sunlight (coming out of the car for example)

I dont think its any worse than trying to use my netbook out in the sun, and if you use a high contrast theme it should be fairly useable.

YMMV of course (remember its winter sun here, and there is no ozone hole even if it was summer )

Nice to see some actual numbers and a little less bias .
