You wont be able to relock the bootloader though (IIRC anyway)
I maybe blind... but i couldn't find it???

Also, will you be able to do OTA if yours is unlocked?

Edit: found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614850

is it safe to just skip step 1 to 11? cause I don't want to wipe my data, i just want to restore my stock recovery.

So anyone moved from an iPhone to this? (in particular the iPhone 3GS)

How did you find it? etc etc. I'm liking the open source idea of it. Having to have iTunes installed is pissing me off - I rarely use it and it barely does what I want it to. Would prefer something I can use as an external flash drive too.

OTA updates will work if you have a oem recovery installed, I dont tihnk it requires a stock rom also.

I went from iphone to htc magic to N1. I FUCKING HATED the iphone! Moving to android was no question for me (a friend showed off his G1 while I was in new york on a weekend trip (at the time i was living in seattle) on the friday, by monday arvo I had my magic ) then ordered the N1 on release day (or day after) and got it the next day

i moved from the iphone to N1 and have been happy ever since.
soo much more flexibility on the android platform.

although the apple fanbois at work disagree. i guess its because they've never used an android product

yeah, if you just want the oem recovery image then only do step 12. You really should look into the custom roms, much more useful than stock

Would iPhone 3GS 32GB slightly worn be worth a Nexus One? It'd be far easier for me to trade.

There aren't many N1's around so you might struggle to find a trade. I will warn you that the people who complain most about android are those who are used to iOS or whatever it's called these days. You get used to something it can sometimes take a while to get used to a different way of doing things, like getting somebody to switch from Windows to Linux (or maybe a better comparison is OS X to Linux ).

can someone recommend me a good instant messenger that supports at least MSN, Yahoo and Gtalk?

I currently use nimbuzz, which works fine, but sometimes i experience some lagging between messages.

Hahaha. How could you get 'used' to iOS? It's a retards operating system that's entirely closed off. The whole reason I'm trying to jump ship to Android -I've been playing with DOS as kid and then moved onto Windows 3.11, iOS is like hell.

Hopefully mine gets delivered in the morning

Quite eager!

Anyone have a list, or a link to a list of some 'must have' apps?
