Default Disc Utility ..gives warning

warning SUID file System /Library/ CoreS....as been modified and will not be repaired.

I wanted to run disc utility as i have been unable to delete items and send them to the trash.

This is normal. Coreservices errors always happen, even on fresh installs. It's fine.

If you can't move things to the trash. Command-I on them, make sure you have permissions, and the "Locked" box isn't checked.

Next step would be to fight them with Terminal.
