Very nice - real evidence of DDR2 boards getting updated BIOSs for Thuban

Here's hoping MSI gets on board too! I wouldn't mind getting an even better upgrade path for the K9A2 Platinum

Yeah the board in the sig has been updated to suit 6 cores, although ill probably update to something with full crossfire (x16 both slots) when the 6 cores are finally released.

Disappointed that the BIOS for my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3) has not been updated to support the X6 processors yet, especially considering it is one of the newer AM3 motherboards that Gigabyte has released.

3.2 six cores and 3.6 I would assume up to 4 cores.

Thats pretty quick, if they can do it at reasonable prices with volume these are going to be very competetive against 4 core Intels, even 4 core i7's.

At those sort of prices I'd probably place myself in the market for the 1075 or maybe the 1090

It will come before the CPUs, no need to worry.

Have to admit, AMD's chips have been pretty good value in recent years. I remember paying standard price of over $500 easily for a cpu.....now days it comes much under that

AMD is more realistic with their TDP caculation than Intel. TDP for Intel is a kind of average wattage, not the peak. If you run Gulftown with Prime you get easily 200 Watt.

Maybe for USA but what about Oz, its likely to be 1-2 months later for reliable supplies, let alone realistic prices.
