Default cod mw2 constant freezing after update

ho in the last few days i updated the game now during online games it freezes ive restarted ps3 and am out of ideas

Any other games freezing?

Perhaps the patch was slightly corrupt when it got applied. You could try deleting the game data from the HDD so next time you play the game it will do it's small hdd install again and re-download the patch(es).

It shouldn't, your save games are under Games Saves, whereas the game data is in a different section.

If you're worried, copy the save game to a usb stick first.
