12mp is only useful if you want super huge image files and if you print photos. Doesnt make quality any better

Yep. The size of the sensor is what makes the difference generally. Why phone > compact > DSLR is such a jump in quality

I guess the iphone sensor does use the new back side illumination. So the photos will be quite decent. Hopefully my N82 will still rule the 5MP world :P

I figure we should be hearing about more details in the next week or so, but for the moment we know its going to be some time in July. Vodaphone and 3 have expression of interest pages up already, google it
