Question Cannot Find Wireless Printer (HP) Trying to connect

Hey guys,

I Just called HP Customer Care call center and they wanted to charge me $30 for support so i rightly told them to stick it. So I'm hoping you can help.

Just Installed Win 7 64- Bit after my RC Started displaying messages. And i now need to reinstall my HP C7180 Photosmart Printer. During the installation it tried searching for my printer which IS Connected to the network via Wireless (802.11g) and failed to find it. I entered the Printers IP Address and it still failed to find it. Back when i was using XP i rang the Call center (When it was counted under warranty) and They managed to get it working, but that was along time ago, and i cannot remember what i did.

Anyone know how to get this connected??

Cheers Nick

I have a 6180 here and the first thing I do is print a network diagnostics page to make sure the printer is actually on the network and getting an appropriate IP.

The network diagnostics page has the IP address assigned to the printer. Can your machine ping it?

Right.
Updated drivers?
Updated network install software? (I had to grab newer HP software to install my 6180 on XP64 and then newer again for Win7 x64)
Firewall on your machine?
Wireless isolation?
