I am running Named (DNS) on my FreeBSD machine and after a certain amount of time i get this message " Aug 10 12:41:20 bsd-box /kernel: pid 184 (named), uid 0: exited on signal 10 (core dumped)" and of course it quits and no nameing resolutions occurs, can anyone help me with this problem.

what versions of BIND and FreeBSD are you running?
signal 10 is BUSERR. are you running version 8.2 of bind or similar. You really should be running 9.1.3 (which is current)

it depends. It could be just a bug in the version. You'd need to get a stack backtrace from the core produced when it screwed up to find out. Just try upgrading to the latest version of bind first.
