thanks for the comments peeps, these are the last semi decent photos as my Sony DSC-W35 has a flat battery and the battery charger is at the in laws 3 hours away
will get it back on the weekend though.I like LED's. LEDs are good White light from above Click to view full size! It will look a lot better when I get around to cleaning all the fingerprints, no point doing it now though. Click to view full size! To my surprise I got the second foot looking pretty close to the first. Click to view full size! Not sure If Ive mentioned it yet but I like LED's Click to view full size! This is the finished pump housing which also acts as a support for the drive bays, each LED is connected by a single strand of copper wire embedded in a trace. Takes a LONG time to do it this way but its a lot neater than having insulated wires hanging everywhere Click to view full size!

That is an absolutely brilliant way to hide the LED cabling =)
Have you investigated ways of melting the acrylic around the copper trace, to actually embed it? I don't know if it's possible.

yes! my plan is to get another tip for my soldering iron, sharp pencil tip and score it in, at the moment the only way I can keep the trace in the groove is a tiny bit of clear glue, this is messy though and next time I go out il be picking up a spare soldering tip for this purpose.

Where did you pick up the acrylic in Perth? I know of one place in Welshpool, All Acrylic Shapes, but wondering if you found another place?
Case is looking fantastic, glad you got all of the liquid hail out of your tools
