Not a considerable lot. The HTC has Sense UI. 2 year warranty and hardware buttons. Off the top of my head.

When you get it could you give a quick run down on how well it works here in AU?

Thanks!

Certainly mate.
Please make sure your subscribed to this thread. It is not being released till the 7th of the month which with the delay makes it more like the 8th here. Then it needs a few days to get here and that will run into the next week.

Wow, for $600 I'm extremely tempted to get one myself and sell my Hero. Subscribed.

This will be the UTMS900/2100 version so if you are on Optus or Voda then that is the one you want.

Telstra will be selling these on $60 24-month NextG plans (or $780 outright) from April 27. Thread here.

Telstra will only sell the UTMS850/2100 version.

Build quality. Nexus One screen is shit. Which is weird considering it's made by HTC. They must have cheaped out on the hardware for google.

Apparently all the online retailers have been pushed back to the 13th of this month.

I did a google search and found it hard wading through the reams of hits to find where this statement actually comes from. Got a link to show the desire's supremacy over N1? Really interested in both phones so I'd love to get some hard info here.

cheers

I second this. I thought the N1 and the Desire both had the same 854x480 OLED screen?

Interesting read, but not sure if HTC Desire will use the exact same screen as the N1.

Just ordered mine from last night from Clove. The ID process was so easy. I just scanned my licence and a copy of my bill. Everything apart from my name and address was blocked out (so no privacy issues). They emailed straight back saying the order will now be processed.

I can't wait for it to arrive now.
