Actually most reviews I have seen tend to find the 930 easier to clock, but remember the guys are speaking of Xeon's, and that is another step-up altogether.

I can't wait to check out the UD9, from a bit of looking about, the BIOS crap looks like you need a degree just to understand, tons of crap in there.

Was at Dukkie's house yesty, got himself a nice batch 920 D0 does 4GHz (200blck) on about 1.28V Prime 95 stable. My POS needs about 1.35V

I think I'm gonna ditch this 930 soon.
Put it on a Gigabyte board and it'll do 4.5ghz on 1.2v prime 95 stable.

venganza - exactly right, you only live once and its just money, you can always make more of that.

lol i dont think any board will make a CPU magically faster by a massive degree hehehe

veng GIGA bios is pretty straight forward but sure it will take a bit of getting used to like everything else. It is usually one of the easier bioses to get your head around and get the OC you need but there is nothing more rewarding knowing what all different options do and how you can take advantage of them.

If you are feeling overwhelmed there are some straight forward guides to start off with if you like i could link you to and then just build on them

Oh I don't know, they busted world records on the board already, and it wasn't even final yet. I suppose the added power stability help. Still binning is binning, and no damn way around the old luck of the draw eh? (which is why the guys in the know speak of Xeon's I guess).

I have used a lot of GA boards in the past (P35-DS4 currently believe it or not), so I am looking forward to my 1st i7 chip.

Been a long time since I had something approaching state-of-the-art so to speak, so I can't wait.

I reckon half a day to build both machines and I am set.

Well I didn't by the thing to achieve any massive OC, I wanted a board to take a hex later, be able to run SLI anything without fuss etc.

I could have got the UD7 (most sensible people would have done just that), but in the same way we reach for impulse items in a supermarket, I figured bugger it and plunged in.

I don't give a toss if anyone thinks it is over-priced or excessive, the same things were said about the classo.

I am just happy to have a board coming that does anything I could ask of it, and a lot more.

Overkill is my middle name anyway, shit I have been running an Enermax 1250w on a Q8200 machine for yonks (bought in anticipation of tri-sli later which I will get around to).

I am so looking forward to building this bitch, I doubt anyone could rain on my parade.

The UD9 is certainly over-the-top, and few cases will take the thing, but I have to say I am going to enjoy playing with it

That being said my 930 clocks resonably well, it actually likes an even multi (22x180) and wont pass linx on 21x190 heh. Havent really had time to push it though.

If you're not clocking at least 200bclk you might as well not bother.

i hope your planning on throwing some new videocards at the UD9, would be a big waste of potential otherwise
