The firmware on the Noontec website appears to be the same firmware that was available for download a few days ago in the older sponsor special thread.

I think you could be right, it just doesn't have the readme file. Was hard to gauge as the AusPC one didn't have the rar numbered.

EDIT:

my workmate seems to have a problem with using optical cable. it comes up with a line on the side of the screen. its green in colour. he doesnt get any channels at all when the tv antenna cable is looped into the noontec.

Grrr ok never mind then. Really hope they sort the timer issue out (it actually explains in the manual that its meant to turn on from standby) otherwise its a bit of a paperweight at the moment.

I was hoping to give my seal of approval (apart from the timer issue, I would) to recommend it to others but as yet I can't.

There is a CNN video section. Do you mean the Noontec V9-T can only get text from CNN? You've tried to access CNN video?

Very quick. I'm not sure if it uses its dual tuners to switch quicker but so far you hit the channel you want either by the enter key and scroll to your channel, or channel up/down, or enter the number and enter and it comes up within 1-2 seconds.

Default BT port forwarding

Has anyone been able to get the port numbers needed for setting up router port forwards?
I am hoping this will improve the BT speed, as it seems very slow compared to PC.
Thanks
