Got my Asus laptop on friday so far very very happy with it. It runs very well and runs any game i threw at it although i didnt play bad company 2 after looking at the req specs haha

Most games i can see on system requirments labs it passes the reccomended on.

the unit isint overly heavy doesnt get hot at all and boots up very fast. its a huge screen and doesnt fit into alot of laptop bags though haha

dont like the pad but i us a gaming mouse anyway so far its all good nothing bad to report.

I saw this a few days ago and was VERY impressed with its specs.

it ticked all the right boxes.

Then i saw the temps and noise and thought it was absolutely terrible.

Hey screech, what bios's and ati drivers are you using?

And what did it ship with?

I have one being shipped too me now.

I made sure Jack at LBO gave me one with a LG screen and not the lesser AUO. I also upped the storage to 1tb.

Cant wait to get into some bfbc2 away from the desktop that is.

Whats the difference between the screens? And how can we tell the difference?

Here is about 100+ pages of info on the item... i skimmed through it the other night to get an idea on what was what with this model. Mostly it was a debate between the resolutions bb 1600x900 vs 1920x1080. I aint going to watchin dvd's on mine as thats what my 50" in the lounge is for... its going to be a games/dvd encoding machine, and i saved around 500+ dollars which will go toward the new M11x.

http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus...fo-thread.html

The major issue was that some shipped with the AUO screen which had washed out colours and bad viewing angles compared to the better LG panels. I asked jack from LBO about this and he said all his that he knew of where LG's but he said he would make sure that i had one if i wished.

P.S. i think u can tell by looking under Devices>Monitors>Properties PnP monitor>Properties>Details>Hardware ids>model LGXXXX or AUO or something something.
