Default why do we exist?

can anyone explain why we exist? i am having trouble with the concept of why this universe exists.

i am also having trouble finding an initial cause of the universe. lets say we are a simulation running on an advanced entity. how did that entity begin? were they a simulation? it has to go on forever backwards which causes butterflies in my stomach.

exactly WHY does there have to be something that created something? because your mind can't accept the possibility that all of this is meaningless and random? lol this is why so many weak minds turn to religion, for pure hubris.

shit happens. of course, this doesn't remove the possibility that something did indeed start it all. but we have no way to know.

hell we don't even know a tiny fraction of what there is out there, it might as well be endless for the vastness of it all.

who cares why we were created, we made beer and fairy floss. if you still have the urge to ask why we were created then you dont have enough of either.

Because if we didn't, there would be nobody to ask the question.

Oh no look at those worms wriggling out of the can now.

I try not to think of everything that we do on this planet is utterly pointless in the whole scheme of the universe. And furthermore I try not to think of the universe being unending as it does my head in.

Who cares, it may as well be why does anything exist.

I'd like to know what happens when you die though. Is it like before you were born?

if the universe had a beginning point, then something/someone must have started it, because otherwise it was impossible to start in the first place.

the time before the big bang, the universe was happy not to exist yet, and therefore requires something to start it, otherwise it wouldn't have started and would have never come into existence...

i think this is the most reasonable answer from what we know, and it's quite logical

Unless its ∞, then there is no start or end and it's extremly meaningless and just pure probability that every probabability comes true, after all ∞ is a long long long time

We don't know. Simple as that. Science has no answer and religion has no proof.

I would suggest not dwelling on it too much, simply work towards what you want out of the short time we are alive, be happy and enjoy your time with others.

I personally like to think that there is something a bit more to it all than it being random and pointless. To me it just seems like there are too many perfect balances and connections and from what I have experienced and felt I think it would be very cruel for everything to turn out to be an empty nothing, but life is cruel so we will never know, at least in this existance. It has been a question unexplained and without evidence since before recorded history, I think we will be wondering for much longer into the future.
