I don't think there's a way because the market goes through Google Checkout, which you can't add money to. Maybe get a debit card or something.

Hi guys,

Wondering if there are any really great android apps say for a Xoom tablet that when used with a stylus say if you handwrite something, it will then recognise the letters and convert them. Handwriting recognition? Or are there Ipad 2 apps for this? I've seen a few not taking programs but we need one that will convert the handwriting to text on an android device.

I dont thing capacitive screens will recognize a stylus. I did use a keyboard on my SGS that did character recognition, but it was slower than regular typing.

They do, and I know there are a few apps but there's not a lot of reviews/info on these programs..

Writepad for the ipad seems to be the most popular for ipad devices, surely there is an android alternative?

OK well when I think stylus I think of the old school ones with PDA's. That looks like a big chunky pen.

It has to be a thick nibbed stylus that uses a capacitive nib (think, ballistic gel)

Or an active stylus with an internal battery, or a stylus that plugs into a USB/3.0mm socket.

Anyone found a media player that integrates well with headset controls? iphones come out of the box with decent compatibility with a wired headset but my x10i is shocking.

I'm using winamp at the moment which allows me to start music provided the phone is unlocked and stop music at any time as well as answer calls but it can't hang up. In comparison my gfs 3Gs can start and stop while locked, skip tracks, and answer and hang up on calls. I use my phone on the bike a lot and I'd like some decent controls.

I'm using an app called headset control to do that. There are a few similar one around and headset control has a free trial version
Edit: its actually called headset button controller.

Thanks guys I'll give them both a try when I get home tonight. I don't mind paying for something but none of the media player really stated what headset functions they supported.

Edit: Headset controller wouldn't play nice with either winamp or mediascape (Sonys media player) so I ended up grabbing power amp which does enough to keep me happy. I have play, pause, next and answer.
