What do you mean it doesn't work anymore? What issues are you getting? Works fine here.

HTC Legend out of the box Eclair (2.1). Can't find anything from Appbrain itself about froyo failing, but did find 1 xda-dev post about it.
Tried reinstalling again, etc?

Ok I'll give my quick perspective as a user of the following apps.. it looks like Gentle Alarm, Sleep Now! and Sleep Bot rolled into one (all three apps have 4.5 stars).
I just quickly installed and checked it out. The sleep monitoring and recording are about the only extra features I can see. The interface is quite nice looking, polished and simple. Gentle Alarm is a highly customizable alarm.. more so than Sleep like a droid with the drawback being that some find it too complicated which is something the author battled with for a long time.. he's managed to hide a lot of (the overwhelming) stuff now though. Sleep Bot has more options and graphs. I wouldn't be surprised if they added sleep recording, etc. at some point They were supposed to have a 'store on cloud' option enabled by now. Sleep Now! is from the author of GA and is your basic 'get to sleep' relaxation type app. It uses a similar interface to GA and the same idea of setting profiles. I'd say it's fairly basic overall. I guess if you want simple with the promise of more then Sleep as an droid will do the job fine - and it's a very low price. If you want something more mature with more features now and with the hopefully even more later on then a GA/SB combo would be good too. At the moment GA is ~ $4, Sleep Now! is a few $ (I think and both have trial versions) and Sleep Bot is free. I think SaaD will have a bright future. Another fantastic alarm program is Lightning Bug.. pretty epic sound. Last edited by Imitation; 11th January 2011 at 7:50 PM. |

For nForsa:
Tasker, Locale and Settings Profiles I own all three. Tasker is the most indepth it can do practically anything for any reason. Locale was the first and probably has the best location support and Settings Profiles is pretty much Locale with slightly worse location support but better overall interface and lower price. With Locale you can do really cool stuff with location. When I first setup Locale I had a rule(s) like this: Between 10PM and 6AM Mon-Thur go silent. Between 12AM and 8AM Sat/Sun go silent. When I'm at location 'Airport' turn off silent. A cool one I just thought of is: When at location 'Church' between 8AM and 10AM on Sunday go Silent. You could do: When NOT at location 'Home' turn OFF Wireless. There are plugins too.. if you use Astrid (for todo/tasks) you can have it remind you to (crap example but..) get flowers when you get near the florist shop.. whatever. Tasker is more like when this condition is met do anything.. literally.. I haven't had a great deal to do with it but you can have it send emails, call people, send text messages.. tonnes of stuff. Settings Profiles is like Locale but with slightly worse location based rules.. but last time I checked it was half the price of Locale and I found the interface better. |

I dont know if this is the right thread.
I just got an HTC Hero with 2.2 Froyo. I had this Applications folder on my home screen, but i deleted it by accident. Now I have no idea how to get it back. haha So i get to the "Add To Home screen" then i go "Shortcuts" and I want to add the whole "Application" folder thing, but it will only let me add individual applications. Nevermind. Turns out you can get there by swiping up in the middle of the screen

gmote does it. but installs a server app on your pc, and uses its own player of sorts (think it uses vlc engine) It won't control other media players functions, but does have a touchpad and keyboard option so you can do it manually if you want.
