Default Android + Xenon Flash

I'm thinking about upgrading my N82 and am thinking about grabbing a phone running Android. But as far as I can see none of them have a decent Flash (LED flashes don't count).

Can someone prove me wrong?

seems like a nice phone.. especially the xenon flash (i used to have an n82 aswell.. best camera phone EVER)

only thing i'd be worried about is the slow CPU and only 256mb ram...

can't stand when things lag

if it had a 1ghz cpu like most high end android devices coming out i would be ordering one too

I'll post up how it feels when it arrives. It'll be my first android (and first Motorola) phone so it'll definately be a step up in terms of UI from my dated Nokia.

Hey mate,

Yep, received it. Sorry, I've been neglecting OCAU...

I'm loving Android, I don't think I'll ever go back to Nokia.

But I'm not really happy with the camera optics on my Motorola. The picture quality is very noisy in low-light conditions - even with the "real" flash.

That's what happens when you pack a lot of megapixels onto a sensor the size of a pinhead, but try and explain this to 99% of people and they look at you with a blank expression usually followed by "but it has more megapickles?"

Agreed. There are so many dumbarses out there who think bigger is better.

The XT701 only has a 5mp camera. It's a combination of "poor" sensor and software - my old Nokia had far better picture quality given the same lighting conditions.

Thanks ...I guess I suspected as much. I love most things about my N82 (hardware wise at least), except the UI and the stupid buttons (which are really part of the UI).

Looks like I'll stick with it until an android pops up with a decent camera.
