hey there mate

The live jump is a peace of piss, just make sure you land in the circle and do the proper landing eg turn 90 degrees to the left or right when you land.

also the patch to 1.2.1 is out check the gameareana forums under the 1.2.0 release on the front page.

It took me 5 or 6 goes to get it right. You have to resist the urge to flare your chute too early. Wait until you are about 2 seconds from hitting the ground and flare then.

i swear its physically impossible for me
i've tried flaring at all different times, tried holding the flare key, tried repeatedly tapping it, tried looking to the side, tried looking straight ahead (both i've been told work)

i'm running out of options here

Reviving an old thread here, but I'm completely stumped too.

If I land outside the circle, I can land it fine, and just get an 'unsatisfactory' error. But if I land inside the circle, bang on the flare (set your 'compass' to 1 3/4 marks to the right of 'SE', and hit forwards as soon as you see the ground lights), then I'll either get the '2 feet shorter' error or the white screen. It seems as though those are for flaring to early and too late, but there doesn't seem to be any middle ground here.

Found these two links, trying them out, but I can't seem to get the timing right.

I can do the live jump...took me 3 goes as the first time I was shocked at how real it felt (i had nerves )) and the 2nd time I just flared too early.

It really is easy you just have to land in the circle at a decent speed (don't flare too late or too early) and point your mouse to the left as you land (90 degrees).....

go here for help

All in all a great game but I cannot get a lan server to freaking run

speaking of "jumping" I saw the funniest thing on the AUSGAMERS AA server yesterday. Some "quake" d00d trying to "jump" around to avoid being shot at (sniper). Jump jump jump splat.. funniest thing I've seen in a game for a long time.

Nice to see a game that doesn't reward the ghey tacticts of the "quakers"

I was under the impression that the white screen was whiplash, if you keep you head level just as your landing and not look down, but still turn 90 degrees you shoudnlt get the white screen

This works for me every time unless i make a stupid mistake then its just *splat*
