Imax seemed to have the worst, with very flat bass. Example, being Avatar.
There were no feel to the explosive sounds. Event cinemas seems to vary. On my first session when Avatar was first opening, it had amazing bass sending it through your chest, you'd feel in the moment. My latter sessions seem to be flat. I can't seem to get a consistent good experience at the cinema. Ive never been to a hoyts, are they better? If all else fails i'll have to spend big $$$ getting the sound i want at home. |

My local is way better than the BCC ones.. better chairs, better viewing angles and has bigger screens (in the main) too!

Only problem when a cinema has a good audio setup is movies all make stuff like footsteps on hard floors and doors closing as loud as gunshots.
