I'll look into ebay. I had just heard some bad reports from people about seeds not germinating/not arriving/not as described.

I planted these little beggars about 8 days ago.

15 peat pellets, 2 seeds each, 9 sprouted. Can't wait to transplant them out of their nursery and start seeing them grow. wootwootwoot

Got so many chilli's sprouting up everywhere these days.

I decided to pop one of the 'fire cracker' chilli's into my mouth off the tree, damn
it was at full potency bit of a nose run and some strong burning.

Definitely a decent strength one.
Bhut jolokia's have not sprouted yet, though. Bit of a worry for me.

Any idea if it's possible to get potting mix in bulk? eg 1000 litres?

you can get pallets from bunnings. A ~15kg bag is only like $13 on special, normally like $17 from memory.

I buy like 2 or 3 at a time, and you can fill 2 big square grow tubs per bag ive found. With a bit of left over. After some watering / compacting, you just top up the tub.

You can just buy like 10 bags if you want. Else you could probably get a pallet delivered for a price.

Mine sprouted really fast, within a week or so. Most of them have multiple branches with about 10-15 leaves now. Planting time tomorrow.

I have 130 odd chilli plants in my front garden in northern suburbs of Melbourne. Some are just starting to flower now, I know my Purple Jalapeno is probably the earliest fruiter this year.

I'm also having a crack at growing bananas, coffee and cacao (chocolate) this year as well.

just when you think your doing well, the internet proves theres someone at LEAST 100x better than you.

I hate you,, at least 100 fold

What sort a stuff you grow ? also, irrogation, whats your setup ? The plants look healthy. Stubby, but healthy.

Also, you worried about cross pollination of the species ?
