Default Small netbook for schoolwork

Hi, i'm after a netbook just to take down notes and browse the internet for school. It must have good battery life and be reasonably fast. Could I get anything within the 200-300 dollar price range.

Cheers

with a decent battery not for anything under $300 from $300-$400 yes definatly on here, try looking at purchasing a 6cell netbook then purchase a 9cell after otherwise its gonna cost ya way to much

At that price point, practically everything will be like the government laptops.

You can get the Eee 701 for $199 but that's a far lower-end system (8GB SSD instead of 160GB HDD, 512MB of RAM instead of 1GB, smaller battery, smaller screen, no copy of Windows included).

Higher-end options:

MSI Wind 10" $335 - 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Atom N270, Windows 7 Starter Edition, 10.1" LCD

EeePC 904HA $288.37 - 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Atom N270, Windows XP Home, 8.9" LCD

Viewsonic VNB107B $324 - 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Atom N450, Windows 7 Starter Edition, 10.1" LCD

Asus EeePC 1000H $335.45 - 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Atom N270, Windows XP Home, 10.1" LCD
