Time to break contract then sell 3GS soon. Just caught up with RSS feeds on this topic. Really liking what I'm seeing. White iPhone 4 FTW!

The video calling is nice but seriously overplayed, its not really that much of an innovation. If it runs at the same res as the screen though it will certainly be a crisp video call.
All the iphones have laminated screens, have a look at youtube at the glass replacement options, its an absolute bitch if you end up just cracking your glass

For us here in Australia it seems not to matter so much as which carrier gets it first, as to which carrier announces they will be carrying it first.
I would guess that all current cariers would have it at the same time, if not very close to the release date in Australia.

I do find it amusing the Microsoft got their revenge today, heh. Apple mocked MS when Windows 98 bluescreened during its onstage announcement and now MS gets a chance to return the favour with Steve having to skip the network dependant demos

Mmm time to upgrade from my 3G - wonder when the actual street date is here in Oz, whether it'll be available direct from Apple Store unlocked, and of course...price. :S

To be fair it would have been hell in the hall - they said there was 500 wifi access points available, which isn't all that suprising when you consider most of the people would have Mifi devices, or mobile phones that act as wifi access points.

I wouldn't be surprised if next time they outright ban use of computers and mobile phones.

But will we be able to BT pictures to other phones?
will we be able to have more than the 6 sms tones?
will there be a zoom for the camera?

Hope their paying royalties!

Even that youtube ad sounds like they reinvented the wheel...like phones haven't had the features they have just added for a while now...

It's not really the same but, Microsoft's actual Software shit itself, the network was just not working for Apple.

It's more the embarrasment factor than the actual problem that happened as both on-stage mishaps can and do happen to anyone with either products. It's just that it had to happen at the worse possible time in both instances...

They would have to be. The 4g has stereo speakers, whereas the previous Iphone's only have a mono speaker.

I am curious; will it have full bluetooth functionality without requiring a jailbreak voiding warranty?

The camera is 5mp, but the lens still looks like a pin hole camera. I wonder what the quality will be.

This 4g iphone could be the first iphone i'm actually interested in. Still wish the screen was resistive. I don't like poking at the screen with my finger. I wonder if those capacitive screen styluses have gotten any smaller.

The fact that it does UMTS850/900/1900/2100 is brilliant.

There isn't a single handset on the market today that can do that.

Thumbs up

I don't understand everyone saying this is e first iphone that they are interested in. I mean what makes this lore appealing now then the 3G was two years ago compared to the phones it was against then?
IMO the 3G two years ago was more competitive then the 4g now.
Still love the idea of that screen though :-)
