What Distro of Linux shoul I get ?

Hi all I just brought a new HDD so i can have a play with linux
Keep in mind that
-I have never played with Linux before
- I have know problems with the command line stuff
- this will be run in a VMWare instance as the computer is used by everone in the house and its easy then duel booting
- curently have a KT7A amd 1.4G 512ram 60GB hdd space, epson printer, 2 nics and optus cable & a geforce2MX

I would susgest either Mandrake or Red Hat 7.3.

I'm personally a Red Hat dude, having 7.3 installed on my laptop and my celeron system. Tho i can't get it to live on my raid array in my dual pII rig yet. I think i might try a differant distro.....
