Now that the drivers have been released for NV surround, I'm thinking about a few choices with monitors.
Currently, I have a Samsung 2443BW (non plus version) and was thinking about getting another two of these (At one stage I had the + version but returned it and got a refund due to dead pixel), though the contrast ratio difference annoyed me a bit and since I've had this monitor for a while I figured it was natural that it had a more yellowish tint due to usage. I've also been thinking about whether or not 120hz screens would make a difference in fps when playing games with vsync when compared to a 60hz screen (which I haven't done a lot of research on but my understanding is you can 120hz screens can render 2 images at once and is necessary if you want to do 3d). So out of the two options I have, what do you think would be better? I've also been considering 3 dell 23' IPS screens as well, and if anyone has those screens I'd like to hear some feedback about them. Would I also likely see any difference between 6ms, 5ms and 2ms screens during gaming (especially considering If I planned to get 3 screens?)

I run 3 x Acer V243HQ monitors in NV Surround and I think they suit the application nicely due to their thin bezel design, and while they are TN panels the NV Surround effect is awesome with no issues with viewing angles whatsoever (mind you, there shouldn't be, TN panels only suffer from poor vertical viewing angles, horizontal viewing angles are fine).
I'm not a graphic designer that considers color accuracy important and I find the speed of my panels to be fine (5ms) - However I'm one of those people that couldn't notice any lagging back in the day when I switched from a single 17" CRT to a single 17" 7ms LCD - You get in my way in BFBC2 I defiantly have no problem putting a bullet in yer head! So I can't see the point on spending the extra cash on IPS panels anymore. Mind you, if I was forced to choose between either 120hz panels or IPS panels, depending on the price difference (and judging by the various Dell threads floating around the video card forums it appears the Dells are going for a good price ATM) I'd probably go for the IPS panel due to it's versatility if you decide to switch all three monitors to portrait mode - I've had 120hz panels before and while game play was defiantly smoother, it wasn't something I considered a necessity - But that's a judgment that's best left up to you. Bottom line - You don't need the most expensive panels in order to have a totally enjoyable surround experience, spend what you can afford and you'll be amazed with the results!
