Default Exiting remote desktop connection via "Run" command?

I used to use this
C:\windows\System32\tscon.exe 0 destconsole

And it would exit me and the remote PC would be ready to use again, without needing a password etc with the login screen.

Whats the trick to do this with Win 7?

Possibly the same, but the RDP exe file has a different name (now)

%windir%\system32\mstsc.exe

Edit: Do you mean to run that cmd line locally or in the remote session?

In the remote session. So it "logs me out and logs the remote user back in" if you get me.

Sorry, I also forgot to ask what OS is the remote terminal?

If W7, use the cmd line I posted.

%windir%\System32\tscon.exe RDP-Tcp#0 /dest:console

That will work, but you need to run it as an administrator, standard user privs wont cut it.

Either open an elevated CMD prompt, or create a shortcut with the above and make it run as admin.

when you type CMD in the run/search box, instead of hitting enter, press ctrl+shift+enter and it will open as an admin elevated cmd prompt.

or you can enter this - %windir%\System32\tscon.exe RDP-Tcp#0 /dest:console and press ctrl+shift+enter
