What was the very first electronic game you can ever recall playing? Any platform. If you can, try and tell us the year as well for extra nostalgia points.
From me it was Vortex Blaster on Sega SC-3000H. My very first shmup, incidentally (my shared favourite genre of game along side arcade fighting games). The game was released in 1984, but I'm pretty sure I played it in '85. I remember dad brought home the unit one day with a big grin on his face. Distributed by John Sands electronics, and bought from a local Tandy. Within hours we'd fired the thing up and written a few programs in Sega Basic for laughs. I think Vortex Blaster was an original cassette that he got with it.

I think it was Fighter Pilot for my Amstrad CPC 6128, around 1985. Although I had played other computer games at school a bit earlier.
Edit: reread your question.... and my answer is actually Pong, a mate had a birthday party and they had it on their TV... although I cant remember if I actually played it or just saw it being played. Was probably 1980 maybe??

Space Invaders on a hand-me-down Vic20, would of been 1989.
Joystick wouldn't register left, made things interesting. |

hmm.. think the pc first game i played was captain comic on my dads old 386 compaq laptop.
first console game i played was on a mates 2600 - he had 64 games built in so it was likely river raid, plaque attack or something like that. first console game i owned was SMB/Duckhunt on NES though.

My first was Spannerman on the Amstrad CPC64.
This is in colour, but I only had a monochrome screen in 84. |

My cousins were spoilt, and had a ColecoVision and an Atari 2600. I remember playing Centipede at their house, but I can't remember much more seeing as I was so young.
The first video gaming I did at my place was on a Commodore 64. The earliest game I remember playing is Kung-Fu Master. |
