Well I decided that the training league was too easy (I won like 4 times, which isn't right!) so not I'm doing my placement matches and getting owned like I should be some how I always end up with too much cash everyday, I gotta spend more but I'm terrible at multitasking ATM!

As for the lag, I haven't really noticed anything too bad, everything has been fairly smooth for me, I'm on TPG in melb.

One thing to consider trying, and I really have no idea if it will help at all just a suggestion. I recieved an email from smoothping saying that they were hosting tunneling services for SC2. Whether this will help even remotely or not I have no idea, just thought theres an off chance it might.

Im with AAPT I we have had no laggyness or dropouts... and two of us are using the slow 1500kps net at the same time, we have with no probs.

The Thomson wireless moderm that came free with AAPT is not very good (wirleless disappears for no reason) either but so far so good with both PCs useing wirless.

Group multiple buildings off the same type under different hot keys and get in the habbit of using hotkeys for everything. Also build more unit producing structures, I normally go stalker collosi so I just keep building more and more gateways until I have no left over cash.

Thanks, I'll defiantly do that! I was trying to do 1 hot key per building, but I just got really confused.

The one thing I gotta practice is remembering all the hot keys, especially in a battle (different buttons to siege/unsiege tanks no fair!) I get really confused sometimes! but that aspect is all experience and practice!

I usually find it easiest to group 1 as main production building (barracks/gateways/hatcheries), group 2 as secondary (factories/robo bays/lol nothing), then use 3/4/5 for army groups.

Also, never use the mouse to build/train something. If you can't remember the shortcut key, hover over the icon and read the shortcut, then use the keyboard to press the shortcut and build the building. You'll be amazed how quickly you learn the shortcuts. You'll probably lose a bunch of games cause you spent 1/2 the game reading shortcuts, but it is definitely worth the effort.

Installed and patched fine for me.

I fired up a skirmish against AI - man I am rusty at SC.

Love how it retains the feel of old school starcraft.

Doing the SP at the moment, good fun (though achievements not working, but I need to come back and do hard anyway).

Fuck I'm bad. My little bro is really good and we've been doing 2v2s so he can coach me. Yet to win a game :P I'm letting the team down.

For all those with patch download issues I'm rapidsharing the patch files.

Should be up in a few mins.

The saving of patches also works for the full version where you:

1 - Let it update
2 - Don't click play
3 - Copy the updates folder and the torrent and other files from the Starcraft 2 directory to another directory (as they don't get deleted till you click play)
4 - after copy you can now click play.

Note: You can keep the same updates backup directory and just add the new update files for each patch that comes out.

To install he patches all you do is copy (not move) the files from your updates backup directory to the root of the starcraft 2 folder and load starcraft 2 normally and it will update.

If you cant update or have any file issues run the starcraft 2 repair tool.

the funny thing about the optus fail.

is that optus is owned by SingTel.............. go figure they lag to their own base hub.
