For those of you writing about your patch/full download failing hard part way in...

The downloader's implementation of bittorrent is pretty cringeworthy - it tries to upload as much as possible, without consideration that your upload bandwidth might be much, much, lower than your download. Which can cause lots of fun like downloads failing, and generally going absurdly slow.

On ADSL, with p2p on (default), I got 2gB of the way through the 7gB full download in about 5 hours, on the second attempt. After turning off p2p in the options, I got the remaining 5gB in just a couple of hours (so about eight times faster)... After install, it appeared to remember that I'd turned off p2p, so the patches it then downloaded were similarly speedy and hassle free.

Anyone on Amnet in WA getting stupid spikes and lag.

Its not just sc2, but war3 and everything. Very annoying.

:S some people are just plain terrible at this game

2v2... ally leaves me: gg

i play it through anyway, turns out both zerg opponents only built 10 odd buildings each, in the 20mins i'd covered my entire half of the map in cannons just in case... and then walked them, i was not expecting zero loss :/

ED: i actually end up with closer to 70 workers by the end of a game lol

EDIT: just added everyone on the wiki, add me, dunno my in game name, just add b_trickett@hotmail.com (Y)

All you guys remember not to post email addresses here as this forum is open to the public and there are allot of who will try to hack your battle.net account and you only need your char name and unique identifier code for starcraft 2 I think.

My computer has just completely turned off while playing this game twice now. Played for about 15 minutes each time then just turned off.

I thought i accidentally kicked my power cord out the first time but i defiantly did not knock anything this second time it happened. I have a E6550 processor and just a geforce 8500 GT.

Could it be a power supply problem? or my computer heating up or something? this is the first time i have run a graphically intense game in a long time. any advice would be appreciated.

How do you get your unique dentifier again, i remember seeing it during setup but did not think it was worth writing down.

The only time I have experienced this in any game was in my old comp when it got too hot - it would just restart. SC2 is hardly an intensive game so I don't know if that would be the issue, like said check your gpu temps.

Overheating if its turning off completely

videocard or ram or mobo if its randomly rebooting, try updating ur video card drivers. Could be power supply but less likely

Well to even up the score a little bit against the tide of complaints, I played for the last few hours both campaign + multiplayer without 1 hitch. A little lag in multiplayer but I'm guessing that'll go away in the coming days

Anyone getting the unable to download authentication module when trying to login, game installed fine and patched fine but i havent been able to play the game in over 24hrs. (in fact i cant even get into the game, sp or mp,) all i get is that error. I wish i had pirated the game instead of buying it, atleast id be able to play singleplayer.
