Default Upgraded to v9.6.0.1014

Upgraded the Intel Rapid/Storage Matrix drivers to v9.6.0.1014 but POST shows v8.0.0.1038, is this normal?

Running 4x 320gb Seagate SATA on RAID0. AMI BIOS, Asus P6T-Deluxe mobo, Windows 7 x64, anything else you need to know let me know.

Thanks a lot!

I searched around and still no answer =(

What I want to know is:

1) Is this normal, because I have a feeling inside me that the version that is displayed on the POST was higher before I updated it.
2) Does it have any affect on my performance? The device manager in Windows shows that it is v9.6.0.1014 but as I said in my previous post, the POST shows v8.0.0.1038.

Do I have to worry too much about this? I'm a person who prefers to stay up to date with driver/firmware versions.

Thank you.
Chad

Quick Q: what do you mean by showing in POST?

Windows driver versions won't show in POST.

I assume 8.0.0.1038 is the version of the raid option ROM displayed at post (and updates for this are usually incorporated in the motherboard BIOS), and 9.6.0.1014 is the version of the driver displayed in the OS. As they are different things, they are different versions.

Yes that is what I meant Do I have to be worried about the raid option rom version? does that play any role? And is there a way to update it / should it be updated?

Thank you!

Actually, I stand corrected. It seems there is a matching raid option ROM (version 9.6.0.1014). Read this thread for more details and useful links on how update your motherboard BIOS to include it. This isn't without risk of course, you could also try requesting ASUS to include it in their next update.
