Group nickel plating

Hi. I am getting a few parts for my mod nickel plated and have got permission from agg for a group order. I need to ring the guy on wednsday to get a quote on my part and see how much he can do in a batch. If anyone is interested please post a picture of the object you want with something like a credit ard or a ruler next to it and I'll send the guy here. This maynot be happening for a few weeks depeding on my financial state but only about 10 parts/people will get in. If only one or two people are interested his will be cancelled. I'll try and get you quotes when I have rang him.

Dont think heatkiller blocks are nickel plated?

Anyway, i may be interested - cpu and gpu block possibly. cpu - 50mm x 50mm and gpu - 100mm x 200mm. Rough estimates obviously.

Ok this will happen then. Prices will most likely be split by the amount of pieces you have because I can't see a simple way of working it out any fairer. Someone remind me to ring on wednsday.

Oh I forgot to mention I'm in gippsland in victoria so remember postage costs. I cannot meet anyone halfway or anything. Yopu will need to pay postage both ways. Hopefully shouldn't be too long but it will depend on what he quotes me.

Hey everyone. I rang him and he said try an electro plater. He didn't seem very nice and couldn't work out I had to post it to him. Will look for another one later. Does anyone know one in gippsland lease let me know.

I just remembered I looked into nickel plating a few months ago, and got quoted $30+GST for the base block of my Apogee XT by Sterling Plating in Heidelberg. If you want I could look into getting a quote for everyone's stuff, and possibly organise delivery etc.

At the moment there are several pieces of copper that people want plated, ranging in size from roughly 50x50mm upwards.
At the moment I'm just investigating costs, as well as companies' policies on small batches of small items.

Just got a reply:

Yes, We should be able to help you, we do small jobs with a min cost of
$30.00 + GST
The best way to move forward is for someone to come and see us with some
items and we can explain what we need to be able to plate them and also work
out what you want as a final finish.
If you would prefer to ring me first to discuss, I can explain certain
things but I would still need to see the items.

Only problem is, I don't have anything to take in to show them :/ currently using my waterblock (which is what I want plated) and cbf draining the loop just for that.

I have a rad i need plated which could be taken in. only problem is no licence. How far away are they from 3820 and how far are you?

A very long way away. They're in Heidelberg and I'm in Christmas Hills (3097). I've got no licence either; despite having turned 18 two months ago I still don't even have my learners. And I hate myself for not getting it earlier
