It's not too bad getting up to Tier 5 without premium. As Divhunter says just play your first victory a day to get the double exp. If I'm not really in the mood for WoT I always play at least a first game of the day on a couple of tanks.

I find I can blitz through to Tier 4 in one night (5 hours of play, I'm a night-owl) except the artillery.

What's very handy is to start on all the three countries with the basic tank. So that if one dies, you can "Exit Battle" straight away with no penalty and not having to wait for a round to finish yet still be credited when it does. Start rolling on another tank whilst you wait for the first game to finish and you'll cruise on through.

I like the fact post-patch that for new players, your first 10 games will be against others with less than ten games too. You won't be up against an experienced tanker with maxxed-out Tier 1/2/3 machines

Okay I need some tips for play styles on the panzer II, because either I, or it, sucks. Though fully upgraded (bar radio) it seems slower, does less damages and has weaker armour than most of the T2 tanks I face. The amount of times I supposedly score a "critical hit" or "penetration" yet deal no damage is infuriating.

I have a ping of 320 ish if that makes a difference.

'Went right through' or 'Critical hits' that cause no HP damage have injured / killed a crew member or damaged/destroyed a module.

I still run my Pz II (well I did till accidently sold it last week, so now only have a Pz 35t)

The Pz II is a good tank with its pew pew gun. Just make sure you turn off recoil when in zoom mode and try to aim for lower tank or the sides/rear

Select the cursor to indicate penetration and shoot where the cursor lights up green.

I usually did get between 2 and 6 kills/damaged enemy tanks pretty regularly with mine (though I did have spall liner/vent/rammer on it)

The lowest tier tank I still enjoy playing regularly is a T7 Jagd Panther. I find T8 is the most fun tier so look for a tank you really like from there. T9 and 10 games are decided by arty and the teams are usually 80% T9-T10 tanks which just isn't as fun I've found.

Err dunno. The options I see is, another tank? I like picking off other tanks at range...So something with a good range I suppose.

Go the german Tree then. Most of the german tanks are Snipers - or alternatively go the TD route (any country) thats what they primarily are

Horses for courses, I guess I have up to Tier X and I still find it fun playing my Tier 2. The only tiers I dont like are Tier 3 and Tier 4 which get matched up against very unfun opposition.

I actually like my fast mediums and Arty to play better than my E100...though its great to play the E100 and not have to worry about running into bigger tanks **apart from evil arty** being able to do (as I did last night) over 900 damage on a ferd in one shot when crossing the bridge against 3 ferds in a platoon and making them panic and run is priceless

Strange Ive only evern seen a few battles with so many T9-T10's? Are you playing on NA or EU?

I'm playing NA and I'd say 75% of my games have this mix of almost half to two thirds T9-T10 plus some T8 with occasionally 1-2 T7. The other 25% of the time there may be a T6 involved and the spread is better with only a third of the team T9-T10. It just sucks as even though I'm in an E-50 with better armour it isn't really better armour because all my opponents now penetrate me easily anyway. Once I have this E-50 ground out I might change my tune but it's kind of killed my interest in WoT lately. Driving around a sluggish medium is tedious and I'm not paying $15 to transfer XP for an engine.
I'm just saving up for a movement stabiliser for my Panther II so I can go back to playing that again. Loads of fun, I'll probably be just playing first games of the day with my E-50 for some time.

Im getting in games with up to 7 arty on each team. I mainly have slow moving tanks so once spotted im dead. On the flip side my teams tanks start getting into the game then frienly arty quickly finishes off the enemy. They should cap arty 1 or 2 per team per match, would be far more enjoyable.

Seperate note, the E-75 seems to get major damage from HE. A tier 5 KV derped me for 45% damage. I have taken over 1000 damage in one shot from an ISU152. Is there a HE bug or something, When I use HE I seem to do around 3-9% damage to tanks like IS-3, IS-4, T34, Tiger 2 or VK4502 B.
I am aiming for the wrong spots with HE?

arty have become popular again, because they are good credit earners.
they actually nerfed credit earning of all tanks, except the lowe.....

as for the E-75, yep it does have a HE bug, and can be two shotted by most tier 8 tanks

I am bad at this games and I will un-install it because I have no interest in tanks and prefer homosexuality
