Default OMG!!! This store leaves GameTraders for DEAD!!! (56k not really...)

Was looking around at retro gear on the net and came across this little beauty! I almost fell off my chair when I saw the gear they had. Even tho it is in Ontario Canada I would still be interested in placing orders with them. The shop is called "Toyratt" some pics below....

MY GAWD!!! I would have a field day in there!!! I'm sure everyone else here would too.

It pisses me off that here in Australia you never find boxed copies of anything. Everything is badly damaged, scratched, dented, yellowed or just generally buggered six ways from Sunday.

It's like nobody looks after stuff any more.

If only we have places like that here....then again I'd be much poorer

That would be paradise for me. I work with high end SANs and servers but todays computers are no fun like those old things, I reckon I'd give it up for a while to work in a place like that, I'd love it!

How do these shops make money? Like generally I like going in and looking but I'd never buy anything.

It's more like a museum.

I sometimes wonder about this too. I bought a SNES a few months ago. The start/select buttons on the controller look like they've been chewed and the controller shell looks like its been dragged on concrete. wtf??

Also picked up a NES at a flea market recently. The guy had it sitting in the mud. wtf?? OTOH, it only cost me $5 and, surprise surprise, works great
I did have to take it to pieces however and clean the hell out of every single component. Part of the deal with my wife before she'd let me bring it into the house

problem with most people selling is they are not the ones who appreciate the awesomeness of old systems. although I have a pristine commodore 64 that I bought for $30 with a bunch of tapes and manuals in perfect condition. my atari 2600 and cartridges were not quite as perfect though...

Same. It almost makes me tear up to think how much stuff has been thrown out that could have gone to a good home.
