Default NGC253 Sculptor Galaxy.

Shot this last week end from a dark site north west of summerset dam near brisbane.

It was shot with a cooled mono camera in LRGB format and is a stack of about 30 shots totaling around 2.5hours of exposure.

I used a Takahashi FS102 telescope at F8. There's a 2meg version here.

Glad you like it. It's not often you get this sort of detail out a 4" scope. It did get down to below zero during the shoot which would have helped cut down on turbulence in the air.

In that case check out Fred's site for a close up view.
There is probably someone in that galaxy taking pictures of us, right now

Great shot mate! Quite a few small background galaxies as well that you can see in the 2M version
