I didn't like the new voice at first, but after putting a lot of hours in it just seems like that's how Cole's voice is meant to be.

Here is a little Mini-review Now that I have played the game for a good 10hrs now and having a great time. Took a bit of getting used to the speed and twitchyness of cole in this one and the voice acting. It is really for the better!

Quote:
Graphics:A massive improvement of the last game, still not that amazing compared to some other games up there. The City is a lot more realistic, colourful and well structured. Partially Destructible objects also add to the realism, and the fun. All in all it is a great looking game. [9/10]

Sound: Sound effects are ok, voice acting is good. But the lack of music kinda makes things a little quiet. At least lets you focus on your missions! Music does cut in at times but seems like they didnt want to spend money on any sort of soundtrack. [7/10]

Story: Great Storyline, makes a lot more sense and a little less disjointed from the first one. Animated cut scenes also a great way and a different way to tell the ongoing story. Characters are emotive, and feel a connection to them (Hatred towards Zeke for being an annoying bastard, and compassion for whichever of the ladies you choose to help) [10/10]

Gameplay: So so so much fun. Having a blast playing as infamous and destroying random objects and getting all the trophies. Sometimes just like running around without any objectives. This is what sandbox style action games should be like!! HUGE amount of content with all the side missions, story missions and User-Generated Missions (some of which are a great deal of fun and easy to access due to their integration in the world). The new powers are a lot of fun, and feel a lot more refined than the first one. Climbing also seems a lot less annoying, especially with the vertical launch poles. A lot less mashing of X to climb objects. [10/10]

Enemies: AI isn't great but it works with a few objects to hide behind and when hordes of enemies are attacking you. A lot of fun to kill, and enough variety to not get bored. [9/10]

OVERALL: An absolutely amazing game, even better than the first. The additional polish and all the powers/melee attacks available make this a great addition to the series! Def check this one out. I gave Infamous 1 9/10. This one gets a whopping [9.5\10]

Decided to cave in and bought it on the weekend. I loved the first one.

Cole seems to be very twitchy and inherited the power of super speed. Takes some time getting use to.

Regarding the shards, I noiced in the minimap legend it listed SHARDS but none where displayed on my map. Is this an ability that you get later on in the game (allows you to see all the shard on the minimap)???

How far through are you? On the first or second mission when you go find Dr Wolfe is when you unlock your first shards power, and as such can find them over the map after that.

NB, I've had the game since it came out, and have only played it twice. I just can't get into it. Too much same old same old repetative crap.

This is just a legend, you only ever see them on the mini-map when you press R3 or L2.

I think you get blast shard sense after 60 side missions. I think this just points you to the closest shard though. Not sure how far away you have to be exactly, but I'm hoping makes finding all the shards much less frustrating than the first.

I've just unlocked the second island and have about 170 shards out of 300. guessing I'm gonna need a walkthrough to get em all again.

It's from anywhere on the map, dead easy. If you want to platinum you need to do all the side missions anyway (to unlock all powers), so do that first. Thing is though, you don't even need to find all the shards because you can make up the total with bomb defusing (good) or killing shard carriers (evil)

Just finished the game playing on easy, to get my bearing and get all the trophies.

Only ones missing now are the Hard playthrough, and all the Good Karma ones. This includes the 80 street crimes ones. Turns out that only the good (Blue) ones count for this.

Should be fun playing through on hard! Story was epic from start to finish though! Will be cool to see if from the karmic angle!

Platinumed!!! Hard really isn't that hard as long as you keep your distance and attack from far away.

Great to see both sides of the story like that. One of the few games where after finishing twice and getting all the trophies, I still want to play some more!

Wish there was a 3rd karmic angle somehow lol.
