Default Galaxy s screen scratched

just today my galaxy s got scratched on the screen it's not that deep but visible when screen is on the scratch when screen is off is kinda silver it was rubbed against door handle and i think the metal flake might be stuck on the glass.

so anyways i'm wondering any of you guys know how to remove the metal flake which is stuck to the screen? any chemical i can use to remove it without damaging the glass even more?

here's a larger size image http://picasaweb.google.com/10025962...87547630294562

as you can see the scratch has some residue from the surface of which cause the scratch or at least i that's what i think

you could try a soft rubber eraser I guess. Just do it slowly at first but I doubt it would affect the screen.

have you seen those little white magic eraser sponge things? They are a cube of microfibre material I think. It would probably get it off, but might make the glass a bit hazy where you rubbed, Im not sure so be very careful. Maybe test one on another piece of glass first.

Is the screen actually made of glass or some other material? If its not glass then any abrasive cleaner is going to fark it I think.

Ceramic cooktop cleaner might work, but once again test on a tiny area first.

Try specifically a Pentel Super Hi-Polymer Eraser and apply a good amount of pressure. Work hard on the affected area, and then finish a bit softer all over working parallel to the edges. It's worked wonders for me on soft plastic screens.

If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest one of those magic abrasive household sponges as above.

i tried the magic eraser did nothing i guess it only works on hard surface as the glass is too smooth for it to have any effect

the ceramic cooktop cleaner I mentioned above is meant to be able to remove metallic residue (from dragging a pot) from ceramic cooktops, so it might be worth a try.

Or automotive cutting compound on a cotton bud maybe???

All of which may have potential to cloud the glass I guess, so be careful.

edit: BTW... you know you need to wet the magic eraser first and then squeeze excess water out so that its just damp?

There is also this stuff, http://www.glasspolishshop.com/cerium_oxide

You can get little tubs of it on ebay I think, but its not that cheap if I remember correctly.
