3DMark 11, the long awaited next version of the popular games-related PC benchmarking software, won't make its planned November 30 release date after all. Developer Futuremark announced today that the releases has been delayed by a few days. According to a post on the 3DMark 11 message boards, the development team wanted to take "some extra time now to fix a couple of difficult bugs." No new specific release date was revealed.

3DMark 11 was originally announced as coming out in the third quarter of 2010 but its release got pushed back to this quarter. The benchmarking software is being made specifically for PC gaming rigs with DirectX 11-based graphics cards and will come in a free version as well as two commercial versions.
Pushed back till Cayman is launched?..

You call that benching, where's the fun in that

It's not benching unless your heart rate goes up, you have every finger and toe crossed while quietly whispering please pass please pass please pass.
You will get loads of lock ups, BSOD, freeze's, artifacting, glitches, weird FPS etc.
If none of these happen, then it's just running a demo, not benching and your not pushing hard enough.

Benching is all about the excitement, the thrill, the agony, the disappointment, the OMG it was so close, the f**k yeah!!

Wheres the fun in watching Vantage? blargh...

I still get the score at the end ....nah I dont watch my benchmarks run, stuff that. I will watch this one but how many time I cant say. I dont have alot of hardware to test these days anyway - 2600K+GTX570 will fix that (for a while)

Alba - you provided me with info from hwbot ages ago about the code needed to get hwbot working again do you happen to have it or remember where to find it?

Not sure where it is. The link is either in the 06 thread, or a thread someone put up about HWBOT updating.
A quick search on hwbot.org might be the go.

Amen. For me, this is what it's all about. Even on crappy old hardware I still get kicks out of it.

THIS is what benching means to me, looking at the frame rate constantly, sweating through the cpu tests,

My wife was asked what was the happiest moment in her life so far, she was tossing up between our wedding day/birth of first child, she couldn't answer straight, she was then asked what was mine, easy she said, when he broke 30k 3D mark 06, true story
