And the 570 is also a good overclocker.

Sure the 6950 may be a little cheaper than the 570, but NV cards are always slightly more expensive for some unexplainable reason - People are entitled to their personal opinions, my personal opinion is that I have no problem paying slightly more for NV's more polished drivers and control panel, and I'm also an AMD/ATi user.

Edit: Just re-read your post and think I may have taken you out of context, if I did I apologize
yeah it wasn't a pro amd post, but there is such a big diference in price for such a little increase in performace, i dont think you will ever find such poor scaling in price to perf between a 6950/560ti class of card and a 580 class of card as we do now. hell if your willing to throw a few volts at it god know how high you can get.

Well, you can pay extra for the GTX580 EVGA Superclocked and GET Black Ops, but not really anymore, I think theres a few AMD ones that do.

Nah don't there are any good ones atm.

Is it just me or are the cards with the game logo/theme printed on the card a big no no? Like the cod one, everyone gets bored of it eventually and once you do, it becomes irrelevant and annoying.
Or is that just me and my obsessive compulsiveness to keep things matching/tidy.

why dont you spend 5 minutes and try and figure out your CF issues and randon desk top crashes before letting them go ey?

Also on your 24" a GTX570 is a far more appropriate purchase atm then a $600 580.

you get this idea in your head way to quick and make indecisive jumps from hardware to hardware when all you want is a fast reliable setup to play some games, not like your benching and trying to break records. Also random crashes in-game are ost likely from a gerky overclock on the GPU if you overclocked to high on the core without giving it some headroom with the voltage mate.

Also people wondering why i know his sudden want to change is because im a mate of Blues and briefly talked about his crashes but i reckon the volt thing is the issue. Also have you been monitoring those temps in CF?

Bro, I spent all morning fucking around with it. Tried every driver back to Catalyst 9.5. I've tried OCing and stock in every one. Temps and Volts are fine(never screwed with the volts anyway.

If one of the cards is faulty or the CF bridge is faulty he will have issues.
It could also be the mobo, ram or PSU.
How good or how new parts are means nothing, what counts is are they working like they should.

I bet I could get them cards either running perfect or find the issue in less than 30min.
He'll kick himself if he buys new cards and has the same issue.

Hi guys! As you can see I have a HD5870, but I've been wondering about PhysX. What I would like to know is that would I see an improvement in gaming performance if I have an nVidia card to deal with PhysX and is it even worth it? Also, is it possible to have an nVidia card working alongside AMD GPU cards?

I'd appreciate any tips you guys could give me. =D

Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section... D:

Yes, you can use an AMD GPU and use an NVIDIA Card for Physx. I don't really think Physx adds much to a game. If you can pick up a cheap 260 though, it might be worth your time.

You can run AMD and nvidia cards together in w7.

Running a physx card will lower the performance no matter if you use AMD or nvidia as the main card.
