It's far from half baked. I've been using it for a week or so and it's pretty much perfect now.

I picked up the Nexus S here on launch day - coming from a Nokia 5800.

It's much nicer (obviously), and I love it. Waiting for Skype to release a video chat app so I can easily video chat with my parents and it'll be perfect.

Never having used any other Android device (or even iOS) except for a friend's Galaxy S a bit, I can't really comment on improvements or differences - but it was definitely a worthwhile upgrade for me. Chosen partly because I want to get into mobile development and I'm anti contract and anti carrier/manufacturer firmware update control.

just received the phone today, its great, os is smooth, went from iphone3g, to blackberry bold 9700 and now this, and I have got to say the user experiece is much better on this phone, i will miss the keyboard from the blackberry but i can live without the crappy BIS browser.

also the plastic doesnt feel dodgy like many people are saying, i find it quite nice to hold in hand, and its very light too

Not holding my breath for my carrier, Virgin, to stock it.

The rumours are that the Nexus S will officially skip Australia, so that might mean if you want one you will need to buy from overseas. Carriers aren't likely to stock a handset without support from the manufacture.

I wouldn't be surprised. If I'm not mistaken Vodafone were the only ones that pushed the Nexus One in Australia, so pending how that went for them, they may or may not go for the Nexus S.

I've actually had some hints that Vodafone is considering the Nexus S. So i would say there is a good chance we'll see it in Australia via them.

What about warranty repairs? They'd need to be able to have phones repaired or replaced with help from Samsung?
