The planet traversing in ME1 could be pretty frustrating. It would have been infinitely better with a hover/flying craft like the hammerhead introduced in ME2.

Also I completed ME2 without exploring any of the "side"-planets but still managed to apparently max out everything, get the best gear on offer, max levels, full upgrades etc. If that was the case then what was the point of side-quests? Are they just there in ME2 to pad out the content, lore etc?

All three versions of Mass Effect 3 will launch simultaneously next Christmas, EA has confirmed.

The PlayStation 3 version will launch alongside the PC and Xbox 360 versions, EA told IGN.

The news comes after three years of console exclusivity on Xbox 360.

The first Mass Effect remains an Xbox 360 console exclusive. Mass Effect 2 was released on the Xbox 360 in January. PS3 owners will get it next month.
I'll take a stab at the PC version being delayed

I personally love all the ME games, but there's something about it them that I dislike at the same time. Like the dialogue/choices, it's missing something, it's too....basic. Cannot wait to see what ME3 has in store. Are they going to finish with a bang?

i'm staying away from the PS3 versions simply because i've already built up my character over ME1 and ME2.

I can't believe you guys are complaining about this. What do you want? Everything handed to you on a silver platter to the point that it makes the game so easy it's a chore? Player development is apart of every game, deal with it.

Besides, isn't it enough that this one person commands a squad of soldiers and is not only able to defeat multiple enemies on a consistent basis, but also save the entire galaxy time and time again. Not exactly something any kid off the street could achieve so I'm pretty sure that fits in the "biggest, baddest, most highly-skilled, highly trained, elite trooper" category.

As far as getting the best more complete game (i know bad for revenue though ) the best way would be PC a month or two before the others so they can iron out the bugs etc.

I loved ME1, and thought ME2 was great too. however, I could only play through ME2 once, so never got to be truly evil Just got bored. hopefully ME3 will spark a new obsession!

ME2 is way better than 1. Don't understand what's wrong with you people.

I loved ME1. Not the kind of game I usually play but I was hooked right away.

Got it during the Steam xmas sale and hoping ME2 will be on special during this years xmas sale!

Awesome trailer too, makes me want more!

does this mean there will be live cut scenes in ME3?

I don't mind character development at all. What I'm talking about is the realism of the backstory. Fallout 3 did it brilliantly, you were developing your character from the time you were a toddler, there was an excellent reason why you had to learn so much, you literally started off knowing nothing.

But what's realistic about an ace space commando having to buy his own weapons, starting off with guns which 'might hit something over there, on a good day, if you're lucky and it doesn't move', and possessing absolutely none of the skills which would be expected of the most elite soldiers of the universe?
