Default Your Photo of the Week (19 December 2010)

A new thread every week where you can post a shot for the week.

It may be your favourite for any number of reasons, ie technically good, a favorite model, or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

Awesome shot there if you don't mind me asking what lense? Maybe a little more depth though but still great

Pentax-FA 100mm f2.8 macro but any longish macro lens would've worked. With the pixel densities on current DSLR's I try not to shoot beyond F8 which is probably only an issue for macros. Time to learn how to do this focus stacking trick I think but gonna have to wait until I get the plaster off my arm.

Gnarly! Forget more DOF, just nail focus on the eyes, like you have, and it's a winner in my book. Great 'portrait' of a dragonfly - I've yet to find one willing to pose let me get up real close with my reverse 50mm and tubes...

Killer macro to open. meth05 and clearry, really lovely shots there.

This was at a wedding shoot. Not the best shot of the day, but captures her well.
