Default Cheapest Android handset

Been watching a few of the threads here and just wanted a cheap android handset recommendation. ie:

Android capable (obviously)... so 3g min or 4g but not really an issue.
Camera (bigger MP the better but am on a budget.
Outright purchase preferred cause I probably won't use it much, just want one to play with till the novelty wears off.
Don't like sliders or clamshells.

If anyone feels like flaming and saying 'use the sEEErch FuNKtion, please just cut me some slack and give me a link. There are thousands of posts here and Google's giving me the sh*ts...

EDIT:

This could even be a WTB (Wanted To Buy) thread but I don't know what to really look for yet. But, hey, I want an Android Handset for those that are interested.

Thanks.

if $159 is too much for you then you cannot afford android.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking, but I didn't realise that it was only $159, new?

I was thinking 2nd hand too. But I just wanted some recommendations for a good cheap Android to muck around with.

That's on a plan right? Or is that outright? Otherwise, where do I find one at that price?

The Motorola XT5 is $299 outright, and I thought it was lower specced than the Desire...

The U8150 is $159 on prepaid and locked or $199 outright and unlocked.

Look on the DSE website. You aren't going to get any better for the price (at least new).

Aaahh.. sorry, from the way the posts were going, it seemed like $159 for the HTC Desire...
