Yeah pretty sure it was auto on checkout for me as well when I got impatient and bought my 2500k from them so I could have it nice and early

edit: ahhh the memories.... after a long run on AMD it was nice to be back to intel. My last intel setup prior to the 2500k was my dual slot 1 p3-450s
Could run both cpus @ 500Mhz or pull one out and go for 600Mhz (with the help of a desk fan lol)

I believe it is the 3570k, anyone can confirm?

OK Guys if anyone else from Perth wants to band for an order of 3 cpus let me know via PM.
Also thinking about the cpu + board for $380... seems so sweet...

My 3570K rocks up today along with an asus pz77-V Pro so once its together tonight will take some shots.
Fact is these things arnt hot at stock and due to ambient temps in my pc room i can only over clock in winter haha.
Under a h80 i couldnt push my 1090T past 3.8 or it would get to 60 degrees *too hot for amd* lol.

Out of curiousity whats the temp threshold on these? I know first gen i5/i7 was 100deg but no idea on sandy or ivy.

When I saw it, (I think) it was 202 pound ex VAT yesterday, now its 215 ex VAT.

215 = 335$AU before shipping

not strange at all. i remember hearing that dick smith or harvey norman broke nda on sandy selling pc's early that had them in.

btw wholesalers are not in possession of 3770k's ready for distribution as far as i'm aware.

same. this release has been a debacle with aussie distys now getting very close to charging retail price for wholesale units without even having stock. you can easily land a 3770k for under $350 if you look on the net and i'll bet we'll see 3770k's for sale over $400 before this shambles is over.

*unsubbed as this thread has gone to the dogs.

i was told this only today as well, so can anyone else confirm that even wholesalers dont yet have the 3770k chips in their possession, because this would add more ammo to the argument that no store in aust ever had any to sell as was implied earlier, and i heard from one store owner that they didnt find out until last thursday that the 3770k wasnt arriving, so thats pretty bad if that was actually the case.

it wouldnt surprise me either TBH, and it wont surprise me if the the 3770 will rise as well when the 3770k finally gets here, especially if the 3770 is popular, which by all accounts so far, stores are running out, and i know pccg did, they are getting more today or tomorrow, because i got an email from them yesterday about my order status and Kam told me about it.

maybe best to group buy from overseas afterall, if the prices may end up rising.

btw, has anyone arranged a group buy yet by any chance ???

Not that I am aware of but I may be interested in this if it gets rolling. I've been putting off my new PC build for nearly three years now and figured I'd update around Windows 8 (not sure if I'll switch over to that immediately though).

So far these things are looking pretty decent. Not sure what end of the scale to go though, hmmm.
