I know it is new tech but why the rush? Wait till stock gets in or go sandy bridge. Not much difference... Particularly with water cooling.

Says in stock, but limited.

As it happened, I was buying something else from them, so was already paying shipping.
Just made it one order.
I cant process transactions on there either. Holy s*** this CPU is top priority and I magically cant give them my money. Why now

Ive never had this problem before... Ive looked over all my bank settings, and nothing works as far as VISA debit card transactions for anywhere selling the 3770K online.

Someone buy me one?

I had to run after I posted before, but the main reason I posted was to clear up that there actually was some stock floating around in AU.

I had been checking Altech/Ingram Micro/Synnex twice a day for the past week, and this afternoon was the first time I had seen the 3770K actually listed on one of the sites.

Now to actually decide if I want to get one, and from where...

Everybody has the 3570k, Austin don't even have the 3770k listed, which is what people are looking for.

I can tell you exactly where to get it from if you're from Perth.

Overseas.

Well, I've never had to do this for any website before:

Quote:
Thank you for shopping with Overclockers UK, your order has been placed and payment taken. However, to allow us process this and subsequent orders we need to validate your account.

To do this we need copies of TWO of the following documents sent to us via post, email or fax to the address listed towards the bottom of this email. Scanned copies and digital photographs are acceptable.
1 - A statement showing the card holders address and within last 3 months.
2 - Any utility bill showing the card holders address and within last 3 months.
3 - Driving licence (Photocard or Paper counterpart) showing the card holders address.

Any sensitive information on these documents can be blanked out as long as we can see your name and address on the official headed paper.
Please include your Order Reference Number and daytime telephone number in all communication, and ensure that the copies are clear and legible.

When the documents have been received and approved you will receive an email confirming your order is being processed. All subsequent orders will be processed automatically without the need for further verification.

If we do not receive a response within 7 days we regret that your order will be cancelled.
This legit? The fact that I had to go through Verified by Visa would surely be enough ...

Yep it's legit and I did it a long time ago with my first OCUK purchase. They only do it for first time buyers so yes it's a hassle but it's only once. It's to stop/prevent CC fraud particularly for overseas customers which is still a huge problem.
