Not bad at all, I like. Some may say some of your shots are underexposed a tad, but I like that look.

Nice set.

As much as I love shallow DoF (and am often accused of shooting far too shallow), #1 is an example of this. Too little of the succulent roast pig is in focus.

#4 is my favourite. I don't know why but it just is.

#3 is probably good but it is a cliched shot and doesn't jump out to me as much as #4. Technically, nothing wrong with it. Although the elongated vertical crop is a bit weird to me.

#2 would have benefited if you had shot closer to the subject and taking a more engaging photo that would have emphasised his 'disability' yet ability to do calligraphy with his mouth. It takes balls to do this, so it is more a subjective critique on photography than what you've done per se.

Don't find anything interesting with the last two. Just sayin'.

Last 2 no good? =S okay...

hmm I didn't want to get too close to the disabled guy, since there was a circle of people around him.

Thanks for the CC dan .

Not so much that they're no good, that they just don't interest me. There is depth and interesting shadows in #7, but ... doesn't do anything for me.

I want some suckling pork nao!

IQ wise, 1Ds2 is flawless except when you need to push it past ISO800. The only thing is the tiny LCD screen and the awkwardness you need to get used to when holding a menu button to change a setting (it takes both hands).

The 5Dc and the 1Ds2 are by far my favourite machines for colour/contrast output. Something about it ...

Like No.4 no.5 Nothing like shots of a decaying city. The textures of worn walls and human pullution

Soon it will all be gone once the HK government develops the decaying suburbs and back allys

I like them as snippets or detail shots to HK in set of wider more story telling shots. I like the food shot and dont mind the shallow depth. Most though seem a little under exposed.

Like the food one the best, even though i dont like pork.

Then are these 'snippets' any good of telling a story of HK?

they dont look that underexposed on my monitor =S
iono. however my monitor is not calibrated.

I wouldn't say underexposed, more that there is a darkish expression.

Haven't looked at the rest so can't comment on the snippets.
