several months ago i created 2x Windows 7 "all in one" Iso's (one for 32bit and one for 64bit) which saved me having to keep so many install discs, and they are fine. i had also previously taken each of my 11 windows 7 Iso's and manually slipped sp1 into each iso, which was fine, they all work perfectly as well. i then attempted to re-create an "all in one" Iso for 32bit and 64bit with sp1 slip streamed, but it didnt work. i first tried to slip stream sp1 into my win 7 64bit "all in one" Iso but it failed, only the home premium version installation came up with sp1 integrated, the rest didnt. i then took the Pro 64bit sp1 stand alone Iso and repeated the same process as i did to create the original "all in one" Iso but that also failed to run sp1 into each version when i installed them all on a test machine. i have been told the only way i can create a win 7 sp1 "all in one" Iso of both 32bit and 64bit is to use a proper microsoft Win 7 sp1 32bit and 64bit install disc, and not those ones i already created myself. are you aware of any way of creating these Win 7 sp1 "all in one" Iso images without having to use a valid microsoft image that has sp1 already integrated. cheers |

It relates to this post fine
![]() how did you go about creating your first all in one disc? Could you go into a bit more detail? How did you go about slip streaming SP1 into your images? Bit more info might help with fixing your issue. AFAIK depending on how you create your all-in-one disc you might be only applying the SP1 update to one volume of the install.wim rather then all of the installs individually as depending on how you created your disc each install of Windows would be in a different volume of the install.wim which would explain why when your integrated it it's only getting applied to one of the Windows Installs rather then all of them. however I can't be 100% sure, but I'm sure we'll figure it out!

i created the 2 original 32bit and 64bit "all in one" Iso's using this very easy guide.
http://windows7center.com/news/how-t...-of-windows-7/ however i later found the following guide where i can make just one single Iso that unlocks all 32bit and 64bit editions (11 in total) but as yet i have not built it. http://www.windowsvalley.com/create-...in-single-dvd/ im happy to keep my current 32bit and 64bit Iso's separate if i need to. i also dont currently have the Iso's for win 7 Starter (32bit only) or Home basic (32 & 64bit) so my current stand alone and "all in one" Iso's are only HP, Pro and Ultimate 32bit and 64bit (6 in total) if i could find a copy of the Home Basic and Starter Iso's i would get them, but up until now i have never had a need for them for installing on anyones machine. anyway, to slipstream sp1 into my 11 individual Iso's i used this guide (skipped part 2 of the guide as i was doing it on a windows based pc) http://www.technipages.com/the-compl...-sp1-disc.html it worked great, however it did take quite some time to build all 11 images, which is why i now want to slipstream sp1 into the "all in one" Iso's to save a lot of discs. now, to get sp1 into the 2x "all in one" Iso's i just used that same guide and the software, however during the setup i was presented with the box containing all versions and was asked to select one edition to slip sp1 into so i picked home premium thinking it would still be included in all editions, but it didnt. maybe i had to repeat the slipstream process until it was slipped into each edition before i created the output image and burnt it to dvd. so yeah, that about as much as i can tell you at the moment. ideally i would like just one Iso image that has all 11 editions with sp1 in all of them, but im happy to create it using just HP, Pro and Ultimate if i need to. cheers Last edited by glenpinn; 24th July 2011 at 6:58 PM. |

Anyway. Based on how you made your two full discs on the guide up top. All you should really have to do is apply the service pack 1 cabs too the two different images. Now I am going on a huge guess here as I haven't tried it and I'm not 100% sure on how you went about it but worth a shot. First download SP1 from heree. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...s.aspx?id=5842 then once you have both sets for x86 and x64 your going to want to extract the content of each service pack by going to the directory that the service packs are in via command prompt and typing the full name of the exe and -x after it sooo if you saved it on the root of your C:\ drive it would be. C:\windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe -x Once you have them extract your going to want to find the .cab file should be named something like this windows6.1-KB976932-X64.cab. Grab the larger one and then apply it to your install.wim offline like shown here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...59(WS.10).aspx If that doesn't work thenn what I would reccomend doing is following that guide here http://www.windowsvalley.com/create-...in-single-dvd/ like you posted except before adding each of the wims to the one install.wim slip-stream SP1 using that guide that you posted here http://www.technipages.com/the-compl...-sp1-disc.html Sorry that was quite a long post and sorry if I didn't quite make sense. Post if I didn't make sense and I'll try again :P One last thing! Rather then burning a disc every time to test the image use the .iso in a virtual machine using VMware or something like that. Saves a lot on the discs

Thanks mate! If people are interested I can
I haven't played with MDT 2012 or Windows 8 but willing to do it. I had another system setup for a bit with FTP servers which installed programs from a directory and pulled the OS WIMS down rather than having to update the WIM manually every time. Would anyone be interested in that?
