this sure will make the final fantasy xiii series epic.

lets hope its MUCH better than the previous, what i mean by that is final fantasy xiii ONLY really opened up in chapter 11. thats only 3 measley chapters out of the 13 total chapters. totally dissapointing

lets hope final fantasy xiii-2 continues directly from it. being open-world and a little less "noob-friendly" this time around from the get-go.

I just saw this in my email and was totally surprised, now we have have 4 games regarding FF13. Even though FF13 was linear i still really enjoyed it. Looking forward for this game now coming next Summer I should go back to Platinum FF13 before this is released.

I played the first FFXIII, and while I didn't think it was *that* horrible, it took a very long time to get to where it wanted to go.

What I'd like to like to know is how they are going to explain what appears to be a massive change in setting and appearance. Lightning's new armour appears to suggest that technology might have regressed a bit?

The problem being that even if they fix everything terrible about FFXIII, don't I have to go finish FFXIII in order to actually appreciate the story in 2? So no matter how good it is it's made worse by FFXIII being shit and boring.

Oh FFXIII. Never again should someone have to defend a shitty game by claiming it gets good about 30 hours in.

So many people were hating on FF13, however this was the frist FF game I'd ever played so I thought it was pretty good. I have it on PS3 and I understand the 360 version was much worse. Anyway, I enjoyed FF13 and I'm looking forward to FF13-2

I could never get past how good final fantasy X was and now any FF game just doesn't compare unfortunately

+1, it's been a disappointing 9 years for FF fans, maybe one or two sparks but nothing like 1994-2002...

I like the battle system but really got bored with the boring story - lacie, buttcie, letcie etc etc..the equipping stuff is crap also.

i finished FF13. the story was painful. l'cie bullshit that made no sense. i dont think i'll play 13-2

I remembered buying PS2 just because I saw a cut scene at a friend's place for FF X. Loved the game. Would've loved it if there was a different ending where he didn't have to go. But they had to put that in X-2 which was not that great a game.

There hasn't been a good FF game since X

The majority of the first 10 titles were quite good. It just pains me because FFXIII had great visuals and music but everything else about it failed in such epic fashion. The entire game felt like it never got out of the initial few intro hours explaining how to play and the story, you always expect a little bit of linear play at the start to get you acquainted with it then go off and play the game, not be stuck in a hugely long corridor the majority of the game, can't even explore for the most part, what kind of fantasy RPG doesn't let you explore? I think the game is best summed up as a narrated bus tour, all you do is sit and watch while saying "oooohh" but not really being involved or allowed to hop off the bus and have a bit of a romp.

never got around to finishing FF-XIII,

might try and get back to it when i have a little free time as i didn't hate it, i just didn't have the patience to wait 30 hours for it to get good :\
