Yer totally right m8, I think theres something going on with the CPU/RAM but its really hard to say what exactly, I'm just trying to cover all bases. Maybe a little more voltage somewhere might help?

Nice, how much juice in the cpu for that? I thought your physics score might be higher too.

1.475 vcore and 1.43 VTT, im sure it would run fine with lower volts though.. 1.42 was fine in prime at 4.6
a bit high for gulftowns I'm led to believe, but I'm only a newb that oc's by brute force after all if I actually knew what I was doing I bet I could plenty more points out of this system..

Well you only put it in yesterday right? Im sure as you learn its ins and outs you will fine tune your benching and 24/7 settings.

Makes me want a hex core demo
![]() Barnzz several times we've asked if you've flashed the latest bios or not? I haven't seen a reply... Waiting on your screens too This ins when I wish we all lived close by... I'd come over and try my setup with your p6x58d board and see if I would see an improvement over my r3e... And we could swap ram etc

Nice score Demo.
In regards to the RE3/etc, firstly no TOX havent done a bios update as yet, I'll give it a go later. Secondly in terms of more juice, no, I'm using up to 1.475Vcore to get it 4.3 which ran very nice and rather cool on the P6X58D(cool for 1.4750 that is), but 1.4750 seems to be the limit on this mobo with this CPU, I've even had it crash at 1.4750 a few times on the RE3, which didnt happen once on the P6X58D, in fact I could run over 1.5V on the P6X58D without it crashing, this RE3 wont even boot properly at 1.5V. And , Demo in relation to the pwoer shouldnt be affecting anything, yeah you'd think thats right, I was more so saying that comparing a mobo with xtra power to good quality mobo wihtout that xtra power and you see the mobo half the price wihtout the xtra power outperform the more expensive mobo with allt he xtra power, it's almost safe to say that it's a toss. But I'm still not ruling out this board having RMAable issues as yet, as I said whats with the RAM beign picked up as 2T(the same RAm is picked up as 1T on my other board), and whats with the disabling of HT when crossing OC settings(my other board doesnt do this crap either). On the links we looked at the other day Demo the RE3 was outperforming(in game benches) all the other boards compared, including the MSI big bang, yet my other board at half the price of the RE3 outperforms the RE3 by around 5% atm. It's all a bit fishy right now. ![]() EDIT:just watching the end of a movie I didnt see last night with the misses, then will show dual card comparisons.

Give us screens and then do your bios update... You should see the change log from bios shipped to current... It's massive...
Also after you have put up dual card pics do all your further testing with a single card... My problem I'm struggling with is I've brought my CPU and ram so much further than before in the last 3 days and my dual card score as jumped immensely however my single card score is the same... I would've thought that if I can get an extra P500 points out of dual card why wouldn't my single score go up at least 100points... I'm still trying to figure that one out

Update the BIOS for sure, that is the issue imo, as I said I saw reviews with early BIOS and they wernt as good as the newer reviews with updated BIOS.. I bet there are CPU/RAM related enhancements and will improve your physics scores.
And the extra power is a good thing, it isnt your issue... Seriously all good high end boards have those things. It most certainly isnt a toss.. |

Update boys-
P7476 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/1117070 Click to view full size! High voltages and temps I know but I was having alot of trouble getting it to bench at 210 BCLK until this run with multi reduced, now to try again with 21x.

I just noticed you have 1.2v set for the 580, are you using a modded bios to allow higher voltage above 1.15? |
