Hey All,

I suspect I am going to win this

Left to Right: Voodoo 5 5500 64MB AGP, Voodoo 5 5500 64MB AGP, Voodoo 5 5500 VGA/DVI 64MB PCI (Macintosh model).

PowerColor Voodoo 4 4500 32MB AGP (has 4x slot, but only supports 2x 3.3volts, I believe there is a mod for this card that can make it work on 1.5volts)

Below is my favourite Voodoo 2 of my collection. It has 12mb of 110MHz ram, many only have 100MHz ram. Unknown Brand.

2x Diamond Voodoo 2 12MBs and a Canopus Pure3D (Voodoo 1 6mb + TV out)

To be honest I don't remember what these cards are. I believe they were OEM cards from say HP or Dell. They are basically 8 or 16mb Voodoo 3s running with only one TMU (3dfx Voodoo 3 Velocity).

Ok the bottom right seems to be a Voodoo 3 1000 16mb. The others I am still a bit unsure of.

3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 AGP 16mb

Pair of 3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 PCI 16mb

Creative Labs TNT 16mb PCI (top). Matrox Millenium 2mb (with 2mb add-on board)

Diamond Voodoo 1 4mb PCI

Magic 3D II (Voodoo 2 12mb PCI, top), Diamond Monster Fusion (3dfx Banshee 16mb PCI, bottom)

These cards are pretty nice, although not 3dfx cards.
Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 Kyro II 64MB AGP (top), Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT 32MB PCI Kyro 1 (bottom)

3dfx Voodoo 3 3500 AGP.

I have a Voodoo Rush on order from ebay, so I will post a photo when that gets here.

I'd love a Voodoo 5 6000, that would be awesome

Full res pictures here (many upside down for some reason, might be slow loading):

Awesome collection MWD, I've almost doubled my collection since the start of the thread looking at those old photos .
I really love the 6MB Canopus Pure3D, that's a great card.

Thanks, it's pretty cool.

I actually built up a Pentium 166MMX the other week to try some of them out.

I think I've killed a couple of the Voodoo 2s

One crashes as soon as you try any 3d (I suspect it was like this when I got it from ebay, didn't actually have this one when I took the photos) and the other one looks like the video ram is failing (random purple and green colours when using 3d, this one worked for about 1-2 days, this is the Magic 3D II).

I've already purchased another Voodoo 2 to top up the collection (one that I can hopefully use). Unfortunately they're getting harder and harder to get and they aren't cheap anymore!

Some are listed on ebay for $150! Which I think is crazy. If you hunt around you can still get them for $20-50.

Man, the Hercules cards looked great back in the day with the blue PCBs and heatsinks (when most everything else was green or the Asus brown!).

Also what is interesting is that the Kyros and their tile-based rendering wasn't competitive way back when, but it has taken a new leap forward in mobile devices...

I managed to get a Voodoo 2 recently that has the newer 3DFX logo with the curve on top on two of the three main chips. It was made after 2000, I hadn't seen many of them before and didn't own one. Got a second MS-6168 which I'll have to redo all the capacitors, initially looked like two were dead, it's four.
Have you flashed the MAC 5500 yet?

Wow that is pretty cool, I didn't know they made them that late!

Yeah don't throw out any 3dfx cards! Even if dead I am sure someone would still buy them.

I'm pretty sure the Mac 5500 came PC flashed already, I'll need to retest it!

@Menthu_Rae Yes I do really like the Kyro cards.

Oh god the memories..
I don't have any as i always sold when upgrading, but i started with the original voodoo, and then moved up from there every generation of 3dfx until nvidia's TNT2 i think..
Though in amongst that i did have one of the kyros, which WAS competitive for a little while, but you know how things change in the industry
What was the game that came with it? Ultimate Racing or something?
Loved those days..

And in a coincidence i was emptying out an old drawer and found a receipt for a Diamond Monster 3D.. $275 on 27/6/1997

I'd take that over a GTX680... srs. Gotta be the best thing I've ever seen. Wish I had of won the V5 6000 on eBay I was bidding for back in 2003. I stopped bidding @ 1K LOL.
