hi guys I have a western digital 1TB that has just stopped working. No lights are on, nothing, just dead. any advice, is there a way to get the data off the drive that is cost effective.

Mr C,
When you are trying to use the drive, can you feel/touch the spindle moving the disc around? If not then it might not be getting the power (something internal on the chipset or something like that). If it's moving it might be a cable problem, possibly a mainboard not reading it from that SATA port, long-shot would be that some of the data is corrupted and your OS can't read the disc?
