No wifi with 1st gen WD TV Live. Don't think it would work even if you added a wifi adapter.

Heavily considering picking one of these puppies up. Does anyone have experience with steaming media in a ethernet-over-power environment? My wireless is a bit flaky, and is only G, hence I've got a EoP set up which works fine for Xbox Live downloads/gaming - however streaming a 1080p media file is a different kettle of fish

Read all the comments. You may need an Aus power adapter? Not sure.

From what I just read, it is a 100-240 adaptor, just with US Prongs, so all you should need is a converter plug thingy

Great little boxes these Live TV Hubs are. Got mine working like a treat, and they are dead simple to use/load programs up on.

Pretty impressive how well they stream over wireless too.

Just bought one and updated to the latest firmware and now I don't have the option of Wireless anymore as a connection method.

The wireless did work on the shipping firmware.

This sucks, I do have wired going to where the box is but I thought I might use the unit in other rooms and use the wireless in those locations.

I might try going back in firmware later on.

Wow, that is absolutely bizarre

I would flash back to the previous FW, check it's all working again and perhaps give 1.06.04 a try once more? If that doesn't work then go back to the last working FW and stick with that until the next release....

After setting up the amp in the lounge room again, plus adding the extra network cables. I went back in to the set up on the WD Live and now wireless is back again.

I'm not using it now as I have placed another cable in so using wired, but still strange.

1.06.04 is giving me fatal system errors and the unit is restarting I'm streaming from a Synology unit via Linux shares. Was fine until I updated to the latest firmware. Anyone else had this problems?

1.06.04 is problematic for me, so I've gone back to the previous FW. Skipping this one.....hopefully later updates will be fine.

Just did a factory reset on the unit before I downgrade we'll see how that goes.
